Now in our twentieth year

15 April 2013;

Life FM is now in its twentieth year. That’s a real milestone. Bathurst Christian Broadcasters was formed in 1993. It wasn’t until 1999 thatw e obtained a permanent broadcast licence. such licences are not as permanent as we would like it to be. we have to reapply this year.

New Transmitter

10 November 2012;

Life FM has a new transmitter

Our new transmitter was installed at Mt. Ovens and made operational on 10 November.

It is a 5 kW RVR transmitter purchased with the assistence of the Community Broadcsting Foundation and generous donations from Life FM supporters.

Annual Supporters Dinner

18 September 2012;

Come to the Life FM 100.1 Supporters Dinner. a night of fun and fund raising.

The Annual Supporters Dinner will be held on Friday 16 November 2012 at 7.oo pm.

Annual General Meeting

17 May 2012;

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 25 October 2012 at 7.30 pm.

Business:     Receive the reports of office bearers, Election of office bearers and directors

CBF provides grants to Life FM

13 June 2012;

The Community Broadcasting Foundation has provided the following grants;

Operation expenses subsidy $3,380

Transmission equipment subsidy $18,103

George Street Plaza access is now restored

29 February 2012;

The building repairs that have restricted access to our studio in recent months are now complete and the Walk is once again open. Observation suggests there will be further work in the future.

George Street Plaza access is restricted

Those who have passed our premises recently will have noticed that the Walk has restricted access to George Street and is sometimes closed. Our studios can be accessed from the car park

Annual Supporter’s Dinner

Come to the Life FM 100.1 Supporters Dinner. An annual event, this year featuring Carla Robinson a local missionary speaking about her work in Africa. 6.30 pm at the Country Coffee, George Street, Bathurst. 17th November. $40 a ticket.

George Street development begins   

  1 August 2011;

The view has changed from our studios. We now have an uninterrupted view of a vacant building site with its attendant reduction in building security. We are informed that this will remain unchanged for the next six months. The demolition of the building was not without it’s hazards as a second storey wall of the George Street Plaza also collapsed. Access is now a little more restricted.

George Street Plaza is being refurbished
15 February 2011;

Those who have passed our premises recently will have noticed that the tired facade has been stripped away and the original building has emerged. Much redevelopment is taking place in our section of George Street with the premises to the south also soon to be demolished and redeveloped.

Where are the candle sticks?
25 November 2010;

It’s a mystery!  The Candlesticks, which have featured in the Life FM Supporter’s Dinner Charity Auction for so long, cannot be found.  they were last seen at the 2009 dinner. However the tradition will continue as a new set of candlesticks have been found. If you know where the candlesticks are there is a spotter’s prize of a CD when they are returned.

Life FM Shop Closes
5 November 2009;

From this point on we are just a community radio station. The Life FM Shop has closed and a Christian Bookshop will now be conducted by Pilgrim Books. Life FM 100.1 and Pilgrim Books will maintain a close association. Suggestions of what to do with the space that has been liberated would be welcome.
